CAMBRIDGE – In 1985, if you could not buy food in Cambridge, you want to take the trunk of a car parked at the farmer’s market.

McEwan soon he was in a group of new friends ready to support him through his crisis. “When we arrived, he was optimistic the place … everyone was learning, “he said.

He pitched in

to volunteer and used his family’s truck to collect food donated by businesses. Like the night, he headed to Kitchener to raise funds juice from a milk Kitchener.

“We would be delighted to go from one job to the food bank, but it will not happen.”

Some nights, she had established a banged-up can no label on the table and feed her children a surprise meal. The food bank has always had a bare stage, the cans at the time – something a health inspector would choke today, “she said.

I’m Singaporean but I’ve been to both countries. Just came back from Kaohsiung, Taiwan a few weeks ago on a training trip.

How about jerky? At first I thought of kangaroo jerky but I know some people are against eating the critters and I personally find them cute as well. The Taiwanese have meat floss and their own brand of jerky, known also as sweetmeat or bak kwa (a Chinese dialect for dried meat) but I’m sure it doesn’t match up to the real thing. Another suggestion would be maybe some tea bags of bush tea, which would be a difference from the milk tea and soy milk he’d be drinking in abundance. (Taiwanese milk tea is unique in that it is a blend of four different teas.)

Never seen vegemite or Tim Tams in Taiwan either, but I’d only been there for a short time.

Hope I gave some ideas.

Yes I agree on vegemite and Tim Tams – also add baked beans and tinned spaggetti, BBq shapes, Allens lollies like snakes,Cottees cordial, VB beer or Fosters,Nutella , Aussie dried fruit like sultanas, or even Cereal like Coco Pops or Wheet Bix. I know your hamper has to be packaged goods. Just walk around the supermarket and look at Aussie brands Good Luck.
